MICHAEL FARADAY

 

 The unit of measure for capacitance, the farad(F), was named for Michael Faraday(1791-1867), an English chemist and physicist who discovered the principle of induction(1F is the unit of capacitance that stores 1 coulomb(C) of charge when 1 volt(V) is applied).
